PROFILE OF HOMEWORKER MEMBERS


There has been an expanding number of homeworkers being organized under the HWPRI and the MWPRI. The decreasing number of homeworkers in the putting out system (POS) on one hand is compensated with the increasing number of the self employed (SE) women workers on the other hand. This is as a result of a change in strategy implemented since December 2002. Now HomeNet Indonesia does not only focus on homeworkers in the putting out system but also includes the self-employed women workers in its organizing efforts.
