WHAT IS THE CONCEPT OF OUR NETWORK ?
Although officially registered only in 1999, MWPRI is not a new organization. It is a functional network which plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates collaborative activities among its members for promoting employment and enhancing access to social protection of homeworkers. It links up and initiates collective action among GOs/NGOs/activists/academicians/ institutions/trade-Unions/agencies at various levels for direct/indirect assistance, support services, and generation of resources for the attainment of social protection, welfare and rights of women homeworkers. Thus, MWPRI works as a catalyst in advancing the movement of homeworkers.
WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE MWPRI NETWORK ?
1. To create links between homeworkers and their organizations in different
part of Indonesia as a means of empowerment
2. To coordinate nationally and internationally activities with respect
to homeworkers
3. To promote social protection of homeworkers equivalent to those in
standard employment.
